Tim McGraw ist mit einem neuen Studio-Album zurück. Ein Jahr nach dem Vorgänger Sundown Heaven Town (Platz 1 der US-Country-Charts und Top-30 der Jahresendcharts 2014) veröffentlicht der Country-Superstar aus Louisiana sein neues, 14. Studio-Album Damn Country Music.

In Deutschland erscheint die Deluxe-Version mit drei Bonustracks und insgesamt 14 Songs.

Der Albumtitel des erneut von Byron Gallimore (Sugarland, Lee Ann Womack) produzierten neuen Oeuvres überrascht, doch der 48-jährige Frauenschwarm Tim McGraw ist keinesfalls böse oder im Unreinen mit dem Genre, das er in den 1990ern (neben Garth Brooks und Shania Twain) wieder weltweit populär machte. Die Worte haben schon eher den Anstrich eines Jetzt-oder-Nie, Alles-oder-Nichts, sie unterstreichen McGraws lebenslange Passion für die Country-Musik.

Tim McGraw ist mit Abstand der erfolgreichste männliche Sänger im heutigen Country. Laut Soundscan ist er achterfolgreichster US-Künstler aller Zeiten.
