Hayden Chisholm, Attila Gyárfás, Ernő Hock
Hayden Chisholm
is a New Zealand saxophonist and composer originally from New Plymouth, New Zealand. After studying in Cologne with a DAAD scholarship he continued private music studies in Japan and in India with the help of a NZ Young Achievers Scholarship. In 1995 he developed a new microtonal system for saxophone which he revealed on his debut solo CD „Circe”. Since then his compositions have been recorded by BBC and WDR radios and he has toured and recorded extensively worldwide. He has created music for several Rebecca Horn installations as well as composing scores for her films. In 2008 he was assistant director in the Salzburg Festspiele. He has taught at Universities throughout the world and gives yearly master classes in Greece and was artistic director of the Thessaloniki Jazz Festival in 2018. From 2013 onwards he has released two 13 CD Box Sets: „13 Views of the Heart’s Cargo” and „Cusp of Oblivion” and directed his first short film „Sisyphus Runs”. He has been awarded several of Germany’s prestigious music awards, including the SWR Jazz Prize and the German Record Critics Award, and Instrumental Jazz album of the year 2022. Since 4 years he is based out of Berlin and Belgrade and continues to perform and teach internationally.

Ernő Hock
studied double bass at the jazz department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. Investigating the relation between the individual and the group forms the core of his musicianship. He was a member of the Grencsó Kollektíva, the Dresch Quartet, and has performed with György Szabados, Charles Gayle, and Chris Potter among others. He currently works with Szilárd Mezei, the Metrum Ensemble, Gábor Gadó, and plays in the bands Jü, Decolonize Your Mind Society, and Dzsindzsa.

Attila Gyárfás
is a drummer and composer primarily focusing on free improvisation and on researching the tonal possibilities of the drum set. He has appeared on over 20 albums and has performed at a great number of major venues and festivals all over Europe. As a leader he has released two records (Cloud Factory in 2018 and Randomity in 2020) and his solo album is soon to be presented by Hunnia Records. Attila teaches jazz drums at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and is an endorser of Dream Cymbals and Gongs.
