Lucia Veintimilla
feels equally at home performing with historical and modern instruments as a recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist. She has given concerts in every major country in Europe and Asia and is regularly invited to participate in music festivals around the world. Lucia has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Spanish National Radio and TV and has been featured in “Art On The Move”, a book portraying 50 Spanish Artists based in London.

Her debut album Origins, comprising solo violin works by Dario Marianelli, Francisco Coll and Jorge Muñiz commissioned and dedicated to Lucía, will be released on ARIA CLASSICS record label in January 2023. Lucia’s previously released album with Deco Ensemble has been praised as, “[…] absolutely wonderful and even breathtaking at times, both due to the excellent selection of material and of course by the masterful execution by these virtuosi players”.

She has received numerous awards and scholarships, including the British-Spanish Society Centenary Award, the Elizabeth Sweeting Award, BBVA and Leverhulme Scholarships and the Wolfson Foundation Instrument Award, which enabled her to commission a violin to be made by the renowned Spanish luthier, Jardon Rico.

She has collaborated with acclaimed orchestras and conductors which include; the London Symphony Orchestra, The London Mozart Players, The Academy of Ancient Music, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra or the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment with Sir Simon Rattle, Valerie Gergiev, Marin Alsop, Vladimir Jurowski, Antonio Pappano, Gianandrea Noseda, Elim Cham or Richard Egarr, amongst others.

Lucia started learning the violin at the age of four and some years later she moved to England where she completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees with Distinction at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Lucía's recent performances include concerts for the British Spanish Society at St. at St. James’s Church Piccadilly, at the 2021 Princess of Asturias Awards and the CIMCO chamber music festivals in Oviedo. In addition to recitals at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, at the Mozarthaus Hall in Vienna and at music festivals in England, France, Germany and Belgium. Lucía will perform as soloist the two Violin Concertos by Mendelssohn and the Four Seasons by Vivaldi. She will give several solo violin recitals, as well as violin and piano recitals in different concert halls in Europe.
