Benedetta Torre
Soprano, born in Genoa in 1994, began to study singing at 13 years old.

In 2011/2012 she belonged to the “Opera youth Ensamble Studio” at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where she regulary attended master classes held by soprano Donata D’Annunzio Lombardi, her actually singing teacher.Further to the Enseble period, she was the Contessa di Ceprano in Rigoletto, under the baton of M° Carlo Rizzari.

She won the youth prize at the V International Singing Competition Francesco Paolo Tosti and in April 2013 she sang several concerts in Tokyo and Osaka, organized by Francesco Paolo Tosti Institute.

Finalist of the 2014 Tagliavini Competition in Deutschlandsberg (Graz, Austria), she took part in 52° “Voci Verdiane” City of Busseto International Singing Competition, receiving a special mention in the final round for the voice and interpretation, in relation to her youth. Then she was finalist of ASLICO 2015 and Flaviano Labò Competition 2015.In the same year, she partecipated in 6° International Singing Competition Renata Tebaldi, winning the 2° prize.

In november 2014 she was cover of Luisa in Luisa Miller at Teatro Carlo Felice, directed and performed by Leo Nucci and conducted by M° Andrea Battistoni.

In July 2015 she was a student of Riccardo Muti Opera Academy as Alice Ford in Falstaff, and in October of the same year she made her debut in Simon Boccanegra in the role of Amelia Grimaldi, conducted by M° Stefano Ranzani at the opening of the Teatro Carlo Felice season.

In December 2015 she was Mimì in La Bohème directed by Cristina Mazzavillani Muti and conducted by M° Nicola Paszkowski, went on stage to Ravenna Festival, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius, then to Teatro Coccia in Novara in February 2016 and, in november, at Teatro Municipale in Piacenza; during the same period she was still Mimì at Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, under the direction of Marco Gandini.

Among her future engagements, L’Elisir d’Amore as Adina at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, and Aida at Salzburg Festival 2017 in the role of Sacerdotessa, under the baton of M° Riccardo Muti
