Mit seinem Debütalbum 'All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul' machte Rob Lynch 2013 erstmals hierzulande von sich hören: er eröffnete die Tour von Thees Uhlmann, spielte anschließend zahlreiche eigene Touren durch Deutschland mit ausverkauften Shows in Hamburg, Berlin und Köln. Einen ganzen Sommer spielte er sich mit der Vans Warped Tour durch die USA, ebenso stand er auf den Bühnen von Festivals wie dem Deichbrand, Groezrock oder Highfield. Auf all diesen Reisen sammelte er das Material für 'Baby, I'm A Runaway'.

Produziert wurde das Album erneut von Sam Duckworth (aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.), diesmal in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Robs Backing-Band, wodurch der hörbar dichtere Sound des Albums entstand. Behandelte der gebürtige Stamforder auf 'All These Nights...' noch ausgiebig den frühen Tod seines Vaters, ist das neue Album textlich wie musikalisch etwas positiver ausgefallen. Er singt von der Dankbarkeit, als tourender Musiker leben zu können und davon was sein neues Leben mit den Menschen aus der Zeit 'davor' gemacht hat. Natürlich bleiben seine Songs trotzdem zu jedem Zeitpunkt ernst - sind sie aber doch beflügelt durch die Freude daran, dass die 'Schnapsidee' Musiker zu werden, irgendwie funktioniert hat. Working for a dream.

Im Juli kommt Rob Lynch für 6 Konzerte nach Deutschland, um das neue Material live vorzustellen. Rob Lynch spielt diese Konzerte in Duo-Besetzung. Support auf der ganzen Tour sind Recreations., das neue Projekt von Sam Duckworth (Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.).

Hailing from the picturesque market town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, Lynch moved to London and attempted to break through the noise with his catchy, uplifting melodies and lyrical depth.

His first release, a 5 track EP, was released through Walnut Tree Records in 2011 to critical acclaim, being rewarded with ‘EP Of The Year’ from Punktastic.com and receiving 8/10 from Rock Sound Magazine. With a limited print of 500, the record is now completely sold out.

Relentless DIY touring landed the determined young man slots at Fest in Florida and Groezrock in Belgium as well as Download Festival in the UK. Not bad for a man with just a guitar in his hand, a bag on his back and no management or booking agent…

Between November 2012 and August 2013 Lynch could be found recording his debut full-length ‘All These Nights In Bars Will Somehow Save My Soul’. The process began in Philadelphia with Shane Henderson (Valencia) and was completed in Hoxton, East London with Sam Duckworth. A 12-track journey tackling such themes as the death of his father, life on the road and finding light in times of darkness. An unbelievably honest and intimate record.

It’s because of this effort that Lynch has since penned a license with German-based label Grand Hotel Van Cleef, which as a result landed him a booking at the Reaperbahn Festival and a 3 week tour of Germany supporting top selling artist Thees Uhlmann that put him in front of over 20,000 people.

2014 already looks like Rob’s busiest ever with the UK album release scheduled for late April and further touring across Germany and Mainland Europe; thank god he doesn’t like sitting still!
