Torstein Ekspress is a Norwegian acoustic jazz quartet. The music has roots in some kind of nordic jazz tradition mixed with chamber jazz, impro and grooves. It alternates between a childish lightness and a more thoughtful heaviness, as a nostalgic melancholy over the fact that this simple childlike joy is naive and in the past. But «Reiseliv» is of course primarily a jazz record with responsive, playfull interplay and nice tunes.
