Info zu Beautiful Love
"Beautiful Love" is Elena Andreoli's debut album. It includes nine songs, both well-known and lesser-known (from "Blue Skies" to "Ain't She Sweet," from "On the Sunny Side of the Street" to "Whispering," from "Happy Feet" to "Frim Fram Sauce"), by composers such as Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Jimmy McHugh, and more: the jazz and swing of the 1920s and 1930s have been reworked with energy and freedom by the Lombard vocalist and Tomelleri, while respecting tradition. The result? The classical repertoire has been imbued with new sonic geometries, making the original pieces bolder and more dynamic. Beautiful Love is not just a tribute to the past, but also a manifesto for a fresh and powerful contemporary jazz. Elena Andreoli, a jazz songwriter and singer with a warm, captivating voice, capable of blending swing, blues, ragtime, bebop, and early jazz in a personal and convincing way, explains: "In choosing the songs, I favored the lesser-known and underused standards and placed particular importance on the lyrics. To interpret a text, in fact, I have to make it my own, I have to understand who wrote it, when, and why." (Elena Andreoli)
