Info zu Echoes of Longing

Exaudio is finally releasing its second album Echoes of Longing! The album, which will be released in autumn 2023, consists of both newly written music and songs that have meant a lot to the choir. Through the patronage campaign, we hope to raise enough money to complete the project and release the finished disc. The final product is a harmonious musical entity about life and longing. Exaudio on vihdoinkin julkaisemassa toisen levynsä Echoes of Longing!

Echoes of Longing consists of seven compositions, two of which were commissioned and premiered by Exaudio. In addition to new works by Juhani Komulainen and Mari Sainio, the disc includes compositions for treble choir by Ko Matsushita and Ramona Luengen, among others. The songs contain echoes of life, longing, loss and love. The music describes big emotions, stomach pains and reprimands, and various experiences of longing. Although the music on the disc is modern, it carries echoes of those who have gone before us.

The album was recorded in Riihimäki garrison church in March and the recording will continue in Kasberget church in May 2023. The musicians involved are Anna-Kaisa Pippuri (oboe) and Henrik Wikström (piano). The artistic producer is Johanna Almark and the recording and editing is done by Pro Audile.

Through the patronage campaign, we hope to raise enough money to finalise the project and release the finished album. The album has already been partially recorded and the last songs will be recorded in May 2023, followed by the finishing touches - editing the album material, planning and producing the visual product and printing the album. Producing a high-quality product is expensive. The choir has booked an extra day of recording to ensure a quality product. Most of the grants received by the choir from various foundations are spread over several projects and do not cover all the expenses of the disc. By taking part in the patronage campaign for Exaudio's disc, you are contributing to the publication and dissemination of newly written Finnish treble choir music.

Exaudio

Exaudio
is a treble choir with a big heart and high musical ambitions. The choir consists of about 25 singers from all over Sweden. Exaudio, which this year celebrates 15 years, works on a project basis and rehearses during a few weekend periods per year. The choir is conducted by Hanna Kronqvist. Exaudio on taitava ja lämminsydäminen diskanttikuoro, jossa laulaa noin 25 naista. Kuoro tunnetaan tasokkaasta ja lämpimästä esiintymisestä sekä rohkeasta ja monipuolisesta ohjelmistostaan. Kuoroa johtaa Hanna Kronqvist.
