35 Jahre nach der Premiere des Kult-Films 'Ghostbusters' veröffentlicht Sony Classical eine exklusive Jubiläums-Edition des weltbekannten Soundtracks von Elmer Bernstein inklusive neuem Cover, unveröffentlichten Bonus-Tracks und neu gestaltetem Booklet vom Sohn des Komponisten, Peter Bernstein. Elmer Bernstein (1922-2004) gilt wohl als einer der ikonischsten und legendärsten Filmmusik-Komponisten aller Zeiten. In fünf Jahrzehnten produzierte er neben 80 TV-Soundtracks über 150 Film-Soundtracks zu Titeln wie "The Man With The Golden Arm", "The Magnificent Seven", "To Kill A Mockingbird" und "The Great Escape", wofür er unter anderem einen Oskar, elf Oscar-Nominierungen sowie einen Golden Globe Award erhielt. Besonders stachen diese durch ihren einzigartig jazzig-symphonischen Sound und die Besonderheit heraus, dass Bernstein statt vollem Orchester auf ein Kammerorchester zurückgriff.
