“It’s been 4 years now since the release of our debut album, in that time, we’ve experienced a lot of change and growth as individuals and as a band,” Chris, Simon, Chad and Caleb shared in a press release from their label.

“Our style and approach to music has evolved. We became stronger songwriters and performers, and we’ve finally made Tennessee feel like home. It felt right for us to name this record Tennessee’s Waiting because of the connection we’ve made to our new home and the communities within,” the band continued.

Featuring collaborations with GRAMMY nominee Marcus King, ACM winner Hailey Whitters, and Brown on the previously released track, ‘When I Get Home’ — declared a “star-making release” by Billboard – their forthcoming sophomore album showcases smooth vocals and cross genre appeal.

When asked the meaning behind “Tennessee’s Waiting,” Chris spilled to Celeb Secrets reporter Melanie Rooten, “We get to do a bunch of cool stuff on the road, but, you know, sometimes you get a little homesick, so that’s what it’s about. It’s about being away from home and loved ones.”

He continued with a smile, “We just actually shot the music video and shot it in the countryside and I think we really captured that mood [and] that feeling,” and we could not agree more.

In fact, the bond was so strong that following their time in the studio the group landed an opening slot on Zac Brown Band’s 2023 From the Fire Tour. “I recognized the talent this young group has and when we started working in the studio, so much more unfolded,” Brown previously shared with PEOPLE. “I believe in these guys. When [producer] Keith Stegall bet on me and helped me make my first album, that was the launch of my career,” continuing, “it’s great to be able to give [that same opportunity] back.”

Nach einem spannenden Jahr seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer Debüt-EP im Januar 2019 bleiben King Calaway auf Erfolgskurs. Ihre gleichnamige EP enthielt die Single “World For Two”, die in der Debütwoche der am häufigsten hinzugefügte Song im Country-Radio war. Ihr erstes Album “Rivers” erscheint am 4. Oktober bei BBR Music Group / Stoney Creek Records und knüpft mit sieben neuen Tracks an den Erfolg der fünf Songs umfassenden EP an. Produziert wurden sie von Robert Deaton und Ross Copperman. Nachdem die Band als eine der sieben neuen Country-Acts von Billboard ausgezeichnet wurde, erobert sie die Country-Musikwelt weiter im Sturm, u.a. mit zahlreichen Auftritten im berühmten Grand Ole Opry – einschließlich eines unglaublichen Performance mit dem legendären Ricky Skaggs – ihrem TV- Debüt bei Jimmy Kimmel Live! und einem Auftritt in der populären “Neighbours”.
