Die Trios von Alex De Taeye und Lucie Vellère erzeugen einen Dialog zwischen zwei kontrastreichen, doch zutiefst komplementären Stimmen der belgischen Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts. Sie waren Zeitgenossen, wuchsen im gleichen kulturellen Klima auf und verkörpern zwei Gesichter derselben Epoche: Alex de Taeye galt als institutionalisiert und einflussreich, eine anerkannte Figur des akademischen Milieus. Lucie Vellère agierte intimer, beinahe heimlich, für sie war die Kammermusik ein Refugium der Freiheit und Aufrichtigkeit.

Beider Trios, obwohl in den jeweiligen Werkverzeichnissen Ausnahmeerscheinungen, teilen denselben Anspruch auf Klarheit, Ausgewogenheit und Sensibilität. Jedes besitzt eine eigene Ästhetik: die von De Taeye, dem Erben eines üppigen, kontrollierten Postromantizismus; die von Vellère, durchdrungen von innerer Sanftheit und einem gesteigerten Farbsinn. Nebeneinandergestellt bilden diese beiden Werke ein Spiegelporträt eines musikalischen Belgiens zwischen Tradition und Moderne, zwischen öffentlicher Strahlkraft und poetischer Zurückgezogenheit.

Trio Spilliaert
Formed in Brussels, the Spilliaert Trio was named after the famous painter Léon Spilliaert whose works the trio drew his first inspirations. He reunites the pianist Gauvain de Morant, the violinist Jean-Samuel Bez and the cellist Guillaume Lagravière. ​

Prize winner of several international competitions, he was awarded in 2017 First Prize at the international ''Svirel'' contest in Slovenia. In 2018, they've won the City of Lege-Cap-Ferret Prize during the Open Cap Ferret and joined the tours of the Jeunesses Musicales de Wallonie-Bruxelles federation.Performing regulary in France and Belgium, they performed at the Festival international en Poitou (France), Festival Varga (France), Festivals de Wallonie (Belgium), Festival Musicorum (Belgium)... The trio is supported by the association Musicabel, affiliate member of Chamber Music for Europe (Brussels) and, since 2019, part of ProQuartet (Paris).

The trio gives his all to interpret and defend the Belgian repertoire: each concert includes one pieceof work of a Belgian composer. This approach allows the promotion of heaps of unsuspected treasures, the contributions of famous composers and creators less known by the general public for their Piano Trio works.

Moreover, very concerned about putting forward today music, the three musicians focus on playing and commissioning contemporary works. By this means, they get enriched with the meeting of composers such as Benoit Mernier, Jean-Luc Fafchamps, Jacqueline Fontyn or furthermore Nicolas Bacri.
