Info zu Plays Sammy Nestico
Not satisfied with less than the best, I boldly contacted my music idol, Sammy Nestico. A wish came true when, after a number of emails and phone calls, he gave me permission to instrumentate two of his works so I could use them for the audition. After a successful application process I was offered the job of conductor of this great orchestra, and I realized this was partly due to Nestico’s arrangements. My first decision in my new job was to plan a big thank you to Sammy Nestico by filling a CD with the maestro’s compositions and arrangements.
Of course it would have been possible to produce yet another CD with a selection of well-known works, but in my challenging role as chief conductor I wanted to capture new and special repertoire.
