A lifelong friend of Prokofiev and frequently performed outside of Soviet Russia in his lifetime, Nikolai Myaskovsky is best known today for his 27 symphonies. His lyrical and intensely passionate First Cello Sonata was one of his first important works, finished not long after completing his studies in St Petersburg. Premiered by Rostropovich, the Second Cello Sonata became immediately popular amongst cellists for its imaginative blend of folk-music styles with a sweet Romanticism that recalls Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. The award-winning duo of Kehayova and Miller complete this recording with the perfect encore – Rimsky-Korsakov’s melodious Serenade.

Bulgarian cellist Lilyana Kehayova, a forth generation musician, is currently a Cello Professor at New Bulgarian University and since 2014 the general secretary on International Music Acamdemy Orpheus in Vienna. As a passionate solo and chamber music performer, Ms. Kehayova has participated in numerous music festivals and recitals throughout Europe such as "International Sommer Academy Prag-Wien-Budapest" ISA (Austria, 2008) and "International Music Academy Orpheus" in Vienna, where Lilyana is a regular participant with full scholarship since 2010. In January 2017 she made a recording of 7 Sonatas for violin and basso continuo with Mario Hossen and Pierro Barbareschi for the CD Label Dynamik and in March performed the Triple Concerto from L.v.Beethoven under the direction of the conductor Marius Stravinsky in Udine. In April 2016 she played a duo recital with Mario Hossen in the spring concert cycle of Botin foundation and in July the same year was invited to participate in the Festival “Marile serate musicale alle Bucurestiului” in the Athenaeum Bucharest. In 2014, Lilyana participated in the prestigious "La Musicale/Williencourt Croisirama" festival, where she performed six solo and chamber music concerts in six different counties on the Danube river coast. Other chamber music appearances include the Mesembria Orphica International Festival and Festival Udine Castello. Ms. Kehayova performed as a soloist with orchestras as Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Mitteleuropa Orchestra Udine, North Checz Philharmonic Teplice, Varna Philhamonic Orchestra, “New Symphony Orchestra”, Sinfonietta Vratza, “Camerata Orphica”, Chamber Orchestra “Orpheus”(Bulgaria) etc.

Lilyana has had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with cellist such as Anton Niculescu (Romania), Dominique De Williencourt (France), Joseph Luitz (Austria), Vladimir Perlin (Russia), Martina Shucan (Switzerland), Wolfgang Panhofer (Austria), etc. Ms. Kehayova has been honored to perform chamber music concerts with musicians such as Mario Hosen (violin), Gerard Causse (viola), Vladimir Mendelssohn (viola), Boris Mersson (piano), Wolfgang Klos (viola), Milena Mollova (piano), Luisa Sello (flute), Wladimir Kossjanenko (viola), Romain Leleu (trumpet), Raffaele Mallozzi (viola), Rudolf Leopold (cello) and others. She has performed in venues such as Musikverein (Vienna), Athenaeum (Bucharest), Rudolfinum- Dvorak Hall and Smetana Hall (Prague), Palau de la Musica Catalana (Barcelona), Bulgaria Hall (Sofia).

Ms. Kehayova has won numerous solo and chamber music competitions throughout Europe among which first prize of the Vienna Conservatory Competition "Fidelio" (2013), first prize of "Concertino Prague" (Czech Republic, 2006) followed by an invitation for a tour across Europe, first prize of "Young Virtuosos" (Bulgaria, chamber music - 2007 and 2004, and solo cello - 2005), first prize of "Young Musical Talents" (Bulgaria, 2002), first prize of the international competition for German and Austrian music "M.A.G.I.C." (Bulgaria, 2001), first prize of "Svetoslav Obretenov" (Bulgaria, 2000), and others.

During her studies in Bulgaria, Lilyana was awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Bulgaria for her great achievements in the field of arts. In addition, in 2007, she was one of a few chosen to represent her native Bulgaria on several concerts throughout Europe celebrating the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union. Ms. Kehayova is a recipient of scholarships of "Thomastik - Infeld Vienna" (2010) and "Bank Austria" (2012). In 2012, she was honored with the grand scholarship of the Austrian foundation "Alban Berg".

Lilyana Kehayova graduated from the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" (Sofia, Bulgaria) in 2008 in the cello class of Anna Atanasova and 2018 received her Master degree in cello performance in the Vienna Conservatory studying with Lilia Schulz-Bayrova.

Kristina Miller
Russian-German pianist, was born in 1986 in Moscow into a musical family. Her outstanding talent gave her the first opportunity to perform W.A.Mozart Concerto Nr. 23 with orchestra at the early age of eight.

Six years later, Prof. A.E. Rubina invited her to study in a special music school for talented children in St.Petersburg, Russia. Having already won the first prize in the Berlin International Piano competition(1999) and second prize in the St.Petersburg International piano competition(2000), the Russian Ministry of Culture marked her exceptional achievements as a pianist by awarding her its prize for artistic development. Since the age of twelve, Kristina Miller played concerts in Europe, the United States, Australia and South America and was invited every year to appear as a soloist with orchestras, such as the Recreation Grosses Orchester Graz, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of Americas, Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfonica do Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro, Neue Philharmonie München, the Capella State Symphony Orchestra St.Petersburg, the Rostow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orquestra Sinfonica da USP, Berliner Camerata, the Uljanowsk Symphony Orchestra and others. She worked with Conductors including Ravil Martinov, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Sergey Krylov, Vladislav Chernushenko, Uri Segal, Roberto Tibiricá, Osvaldo Ferreira, Fuad Ibrahimov, Helder Trefzger, Claudio Cohen, Hobart Earle, Andreas Stoehr, Marcelo Ramos and others.

After graduating at the special music school in 2004 she became a student at the St.Petersburg State Conservatory. During this time Kristina Miller had an opportunity to perform in concert halls such as the Philarmonic Hall, the Capella Hall and the big A. Glasunov Hall of Conservatory in St.Petersburg.

In 2006 she won the Steinway Piano Award of the Munich Steinway House and entered the Munich Music University to continue her studies with the well-known pianist Prof. Gerhard Oppitz.

As a chamber musician, Kristina Miller collaborated with artists including Daniel Müller-Schott, Sergey Krylov, David Aaron Carpenter, Jan Volger, Pierre Amoyal, Danjulo Ishizaka and others.

Besides making various recordings for the Bavarian Radio, her first CD was released in 2008 for the Naxos Label, which Kristina recorded with Nicolas Koeckert. It received great reviews and was repeatedly played at the Bavarian Radio and BBC Radio stations.

In 2012 Kristina Miller finished her Studies at the Munich University of Music with Prof. Gerhard Oppitz, where she received her Master of Music degree with Distinction.

In 2015 she received her second Master Degree at the Conservatory Wien University with Prof.Dr. Johannes Kropfitsch.

In November 2017 Kristina had her debut in Berliner Philharmonie.
