born on May 22, 1924, in Paris to Armenian parents, is a French singer-songwriter, actor, writer, and diplomat. He obtained Armenian nationality in December 2008 upon his appointment as Ambassador to Armenia. During his seventy-year career, Charles Aznavour composed more than 1,200 songs and sang in eight different languages. In total, the singer has sold more than 180 million records worldwide.
