Sie sind wieder da: Muse präsentieren 2018 ihr neues, mittlerweile achtes Studioalbum. »Simulation Theory« heißt der mit Spannung erwartete Nachfolger ihres letzten Nummer-eins-Albums »Drones« (2015).
Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der Band wurde das Album nicht an einem Stück im Studio, sondern in Teilen über fast zwei Jahre hinweg aufgenommen. Dabei arbeiteten die Briten mit Produzenten wie Rich Costey, Mike Elizondo, Shellback und Timbaland zusammen.
Das Resultat ist ein sehr facettenreiches Gesamtwerk. Insgesamt elf Songs haben es auf »Simulation Theory« geschafft, von denen jeder einzelne ein eigenes Video bekommen soll.
Dazu gehören auch die ersten vier Singleauskopplungen »Something Human«, »Thought Contagion«, »Dig Down« und »The Dark Side«.
Und die zeigen, dass sich selbst gestandene Alternative-Rock-Ikonen wie Muse noch weiterentwickeln. Wer sich ein Bild davon machen will, kann »Simulation Theory« jetzt bestellen.
Neben der Standard-Version erscheint »Simulation Theory« in einer Deluxe-Ausgabe mit 16 Tracks. Zu den Bonussongs gehören eine akustische Gospelversion von »Dig Down«, alternative und akustische Versionen einiger Tracks.
