VHS Collection
A brightly hued synth-pop trio from New York, VHS Collection pair vintage '80s-inspired tones with a contemporary electro-pop feel. Consisting of longtime friends James Bohannon (vocals), Conor Cook (guitar), and Nils Vanderlip (synths), VHS made their debut in 2015 with a self-titled three-song EP. Their follow-up, the slightly longer Stereo Hype EP, arrived a year later and yielded the vibrant single "Waiting on the Summer." Further elevating their status, the band made appearances at both Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits in 2016. The following year brought a handful of new singles including "Wide Awake," "Fire," and "Sign," while VHS continued to work on their first full-length release.
