Info for Mozart, Schubert & Others: Piano Duets
This album follows Zala Kravos’ first album, recorded in 2017. This new project is based on the long-term collaboration between Zala Kravos and her brother Val as a piano duet. Since their youngest age, both pianists regularly perform together, also on the international scale. This album features a wide range of repertoires that reveal the technical and performing qualities of the duo, notably through Schubert’s Fantasia in F Minor, considered as a monument in the field of four-hands piano repertoire. The album ends with a contemporary piece by the French composer Françoise Choveaux, showing the taste of Zala and Val for the unexpected and the experimentation.
Despite their young age, Zala Kravos and her younger brother Val are outstanding pianists performing all over the world since many years. They regularly impress professionals and the audience by their talent and musical maturity. They are soloists but often play together the repertoire for piano duo and their fusional relationship is particularly striking. In 2019, they obtained a diploma in chamber music as a piano duo at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg. In June next year, they plan to record for the German label Ars Produktion an album with music for piano duo, including a composition written by a contemporary French composer especially for them
