It begins with a game of ping-pong and ends with a galactic homage to Rashan Roland Kirk!

An apology for the game! Yes, but with conditions! You have to put yourself in the position of a player who plays the game as if it were his own skin: playing with the sound wave that sets itself in motion and could become music....

Playing one's instrument as if it were the first and last time at the same time.... Playing at the risk of not knowing where you are going and discovering it in the moment...Playing the tempo from extreme slowness to extreme speed; playing to achieve a trance....

Playing on instruments you don't know that well to be able to venture a little further; playing several instruments at once and becoming a real orchestra! To finally play and fully engage with the music that is created, lively players and always ready for a bit of madness!

Juilien Soro, composer, alto, tenor and soprano saxophonist, also keyboard player. With a first prize with distinction at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), he is one of the most talented young musicians of his generation. He began as leader and composer of the Inama Sextet (1st prize for group and soloist in 2007 at the Esprit Jazz Festival in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and 2nd prize for composition in 2007 at the Concours National de La Défense). During the same period, he was a sideman in the quintet of trombonist Glenn Ferris and in the saxophone quartet of Jean-Louis Chautemps and François Jeanneau.

Together with Stephan Caracci, who plays vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel, other percussion and keyboards, and the drummer Ariel Tessier, they form the group "Players".

Julien Soro
is one of the most talented French saxophonists of his generation and is an active member of all versions of the KAMI project, quintet, sextet and octet.

He started out as leader of the Inama sextet and won the Group Prize and Best Soloist Prize at the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Festival in 2007, and a Composition Prize at the Concours National de la Défense 2007. At that time, he also played with trombonist Glenn Ferris' quintet and Jean Louis Chautemps and François Jeanneau's quartet.

In 2008, he joined Ping Machine, Frédéric Maurin's big band, and the following year created the Big Four quartet, which brought together Stéphan Caracci (vibraphone), Fabien Debellefontaine (tuba) and Rafaël Koerner (drums). The group released four albums. He also composes, with the double bass player Raphaël Schwab, the duo Schwab-Soro (two records, a Jazz Migration selection in 2016). He joined the Orchestre National de Jazz, under the direction of Frederic Maurin in 2019 and integrated the energetic quintet Ozma, with which he has toured internationally since 2015 (Germany, Central Europe, Colombia, Asia) and also plays in young projects such as the quartet of double bassist Alex Perrot Lande, Sweet Dog with the guitarist Paul Jarret and the drummer Ariel Tessier. With the latter, he founded Dancing Birds with Gabriel Midon on double bass.
