Info for Pacifiques Biches
For 20 years, Florian Pellissier, together with drummer David Georgelet, double bassist Yoni Zelnik, saxophonist Christophe Panzani, and trumpeter Yoann Loustalot, has been shaping a lively jazz style based on the hard bop roots of 1960s New York and its European echoes, while always building a creative, high-class bridge to the present day. Pellissier has worked with such diverse personalities as Iggy Pop, Guts, Anthony Joseph, Setenta, Leron Thomas, and Shola Adisa-Farrar, always praised by the press and the first French jazz artist with over a million streams on a single song. The nine new tracks once again captivate with their unique elegance in interplay, the perfect juxtaposition of tradition and modernity, and have visited at least South America, Africa, and possibly even outer space. Studio guests include Archie Shepp, singer DjeuhDjoah, and even Iggy Pop, in whose live band Pellissier played for years. “Pacifiques Biches” is, as expected, a high-class jazz album that gracefully continues Florian Pellissier's discography.

Florian Pellissier
Sixth album of the historic quintet (line up unchanged, 20 years old) of the crazy and iconoclastic pianist-keyboardist Florian Pellissier who records and tours with personalities as varied and rich as Iggy Pop, Guts, Anthony Joseph, Setenta, Leron Thomas… Always acclaimed by the press, highly playlisted and listened to on digital platforms (65,000 listeners per month on Streaming, 4,000,000 plays for his most listened to track, first French jazz artist to exceed one million streams on a track) , broadcast worldwide, the quintet over the years and its discography takes the place, without seeming to touch it, of an essential and emblematic group of the vibrant French jazz scene. Florian Pellissier gives pride of place to Hard-Bop with this album recorded in the legendary studio of Rudy Van Gelder (Blue Note) and finds himself both spotted by jazz lovers and playlisted in the favorite tracks of singer V, leader DU World star group of K-Pop, BTS…An enigma…a cosmic singularity.
