Info for VIVACE! (Live)
VIVACE! means lively, vibrant, luminous. It's a tempo designation in music. And: That's the name of the acoustic system of the Elektra Tonquartier, our new concert hall. It allows us to artificially create any conceivable spatial acoustics – and make them sound natural. At the touch of a button, our hall transforms into the Elbphilharmonie, a recording studio, Cologne Cathedral, or Beethoven's living room...
The Bergson Phil' consists of around 25 Bergson Artists who form an orchestra. The "Phil'" refers to "Philharmonic Orchestra." Strictly speaking, the Bergson Phil's line-up is too small for a philharmonic orchestra, as they sometimes have a hundred or more musicians. But thanks to the acoustic possibilities of our hall, it has a symphonic sound. Moreover, "Phil'" translates as "friend." And that fits well with us and the relationship we want with our audience. Alongside the Jazzrausch Big Band, the Bergson Phil' is our second resident ensemble.
