Info for Past Lives
"Past Lives" will be the band’s second studio album. The band, consisting of charismatic lead vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow, and drummer Will Ferri, have come a long way since finding stardom on YouTube. The trio signed under Warner Music Group’s indie rock label Fueled by Ramen, and released their first full-length album, In Our Bones, in May 2016. Their debut album immediately charted #2 on Billboard's "Top New Artists" and lauded as “pop rock perfection” by Alternative Press.
Against the Current’s unique brand of pop, rock and indie sounds appeal to a global audience which led to the production of an exclusive anthem song for Riot Game’s 2017 League of Legend Championship - “Legends Never Die”. The live performance at the Beijing opening ceremony saw them collaborate with Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou and Norwegian DJ/producer Alan Walker.
Past Lives, the long awaited and highly anticipated second album, is due for release in September 2018 and set to usher in a new chapter for both the band as well as their fans worldwide.
Against The Current
Against The Current
is a small pop/rock-based band from Poughkeepsie, NY (try saying that 10x fast!). Band members include Chrissy Costanza (Lead vocals), Dan Gow (Vocals/Guitar), Jeremy Rompala (Guitar), Joe Simmons (Bass), and Will Ferri (Drums). The band officially joined Youtube on August 6, 2011 and is managed by Michael Ferri.
Currently, Against The Current has two original singles, entitled “Thinking” and Closer, Faster, and are both available on iTunes. Notable cover songs include “Good Time – Owl City ft. Carly Rae Jepsen,” “Not Over You – Gavin DeGraw,” and “Catch My Breath – Kelly Clarkson.” Additionally, Chrissy has done several collaborations with notable YouTube cover artists, such as Heart Attack with Sam Tsui and Kurt Schneider, and Beauty and a Beat with Alex Goot and Kurt Schneider.
If there was any one song that they’ve done to bring them up to a major public spotlight, it would have to be their collaboration with Alex Goot in their cover of Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen’s song, “Good Time.” They’re band alone brings sensational vocals with their own original pop/rock feel. Good, solid beats and rhythms that accompany Crissy’s vocals make for some incredible potential for Against The Current!
