Info for Use Your Illusion II (Remastered)
Die mit Spannung erwarteten dritten und vierten Studioalben "Use Your Illusion I" und "Use Your Illusion II" von Guns N' Roses wurden ursprünglich gleichzeitig am 17. September 1991 veröffentlicht. Nach dem großen Erfolg von GN'R Lies und Appetite For Destruction stand die Band vor der gewaltigen Aufgabe, ein Nachfolgealbum zu schreiben. Die Band lieferte nicht nur ab, Guns N' Roses überraschte die Welt, indem sie nicht nur ein, sondern gleich zwei neue, abendfüllende Studioalben herausbrachte. Nach der Veröffentlichung erreichte Use Your Illusion I Platz 2 und Use Your Illusion II belegte gleichzeitig Platz 1 der Billboard 200 Charts und verkaufte sich in den ersten zwei Stunden nach Veröffentlichung über 500.000 Mal, mit geschätzten Verkäufen von über 685.000 bzw. 770.000 in der ersten Woche.
"Use Your Illusion II" enthält die Top-50-Single "You Could Be Mine", "Civil War", das Platz 4 der Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay Charts erreichte, Bob Dylans "Knocking On Heaven's Door" sowie eine alternative Version von "Don't Cry" mit einem anderen Text.
Die Original-Studioalben Use Your Illusion I und Use Your Illusion II wurden beide erstmals von den originalen analogen 1/2-Zoll-Stereo-Masterbändern in hochauflösenden 96kHz, 24-Bit-Transfers remastered.
