Yacouba Trio
Beyond TRUST, the mythical French rock band of which he has been bassist since 1996 , David “Yacouba” JACOB, as a curious and versatile musician, has always explored other musical worlds such as world music, blues and jazz, working with artists such as Geoffrey ORYEMA, Ilène BARNES, or Ladell MCLIN. The double bass finally seduced him in 2018, taking him to the frontiers of classical, contemporary and jazz music. He now leads his group “YACOUBA TRIO”, accompanied by Nicolas NOEL on piano. accompanied by Nicolas NOEL on piano and Hakim MOLINA on drums, with highly personal compositions in which he blends '60s jazz with the ethnic musical colors that have always inspired him.

The debut album, "OUIDA ROAD", was released on April 11, 2025, by Deviation Records.
