Liparit Avetisyan
was born in Yerevan/Armenia and studied at the local conservatory and the Moscow Conservatory. Following his debut as Fenton (Falstaff) at the Cologne Opera in 2016, engagements followed at the Semperoper Dresden, the Hamburg State Opera, the Deutsche Oper and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Zurich Opera House, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Den Norske Opera in Oslo, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Seattle Opera and Opera Australia. His repertoire includes roles such as Alfredo Germont (La traviata), Rodolfo (La bohème), Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Des Grieux (Massenet's Manon Lescaut), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Il Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) and the title role in Faust. He made his debut at the Bayerische Staatsoper as Alfredo Germont in 2019 and will sing Alfredo Germont and Nemorino again in 2024/25.
