Antonia Hausmann
began her musical education at the age of 7, first on the recorder, but soon switched to the clarinet. Since 2006 she has trombone lessons, initially focusing on classical repertoire.

Among other things, she won a 1st prize at the regional competition "Jugend Musiziert". During this time she developed a keen interest in improvisation and jazz music, especially through her teacher Frank Hepper. She became a member of various big bands, e.g. the Big Band Klangfarben, the Lajazzo Sachsen and the Lajazzo Brandenburg under the direction of Jiggs Whigham. In 2009 she began her studies at the HfM Dresden, which she continued in 2010 with Simon Harrer at the HMT Leipzig.

From September 2013 to August 2014 she was a student of Prof. Nils Wogram in Lucerne. As a jazz and studio musician she participates in versatile projects and gives numerous concerts at home and abroad.

"Trio.Diction" won the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award Marion Ermer in 2014 and was in the final round of the Young Munich Jazz Award in 2016.

With "Karl die Große", "Trio.Diktion", the "Volker Heuken Sextet", "Jan Roth", "Philipp Rumsch Ensemble" and "Flamink" Antonia has already released several albums and has been a guest musician in projects such as "Wooden Peak", "Avau", "L'aupaire", "Sarah Lesch" and "Katharina Franck". She also plays and performed in various big bands, among others under the direction of Ed Partyka, Prof. Thomas Zoller, John Hollenbeck, or Ansgar Striepens.

Currently Antonia Hausmann is touring the German-speaking countries as a trombonist with Clueso, is on a reading tour with Martin Beyer, or is working on her own new project "Suntje".
