Tatjana Blome
Born in Dortmund, Tatjana Blome was taught by her father, Josef-Matthias Blome, until she was 14 years old. She subsequently studied with Renate Kretschmar-Fischer, Heidrum Holtmann, and Gerhard Oppitz.

In 1995 she made her concert debut with Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 at the Philharmonie in Berlin.

Tatjana Blome performs throughout Europe both as a solo pianist and with well-known orchestras. She works closely with the Chamber Symphony of Berlin under the baton of Jürgen Bruns.

She is a frequent Lied-accompanist for baritone Dietrich Henschel and is a member of the Kammerensemble Classic der Deutschen Oper Berlin. Among others she has worked with mit Gerd Albrecht, Ib Hausmann, Claudia Barainsky, and George Tabori.

Together with saxophonist Frank Lunte in the Duo Blome-Lunte, Tatjana Blome has released a widely acclaimed four-part CD-Documentation (EDA Records, Kassel) with works for saxophone and piano from Berlin and Germany. In 2003 both musicians were honoured with the Andrei Sakharov medal in Moscow.

Tatjana Blome has performed over 50 works on CD and for radio. Two solo CDs have been released by Naxos and Deutsche Grammophon.
