Jean-Philippe Morel
is more than a bass virtuoso, he's also a talented composer, and a leader of fascinating projects.

Self-taught musician and composer, he began his apprenticeship empirically between the CNCM of Nancy, the various formations in which he operates (jazz, rock, metal ...) and the National Higher Conservatory of Music in Paris.

This unusual career offers him the chance to meet musicians from totally different worlds, allowing him to define a strong identity.

Sideman with illustrious elders like Martial Solal and Eric Watson, active member projects mounted by adventurers contemporary jazz (Mederic Collignon, Yves Robert, Print, Kolkhöze Printanium, to name a few ..), he runs his label called madRecordz (Call the Mexicans !!!, GleizKrew, Quinte-Sens, Point Zero ...).

He draws from his part a pathway refusing insistently the stylistic labels. Never exulting as much as when it becomes impossible to put a name on the musical content, he seeks above all that the "mixture" makes sense, He takes the listener towards unexplored sound universes, as for example with his big trash band "United Colors of Sodom" that he lead and for which he is totally committed.

Philippe Gleizes
is an author and composer, improvised music and rock avant-gard. Self-taught musician, he starts with the guitar at 11 years and begins played in rock bands. At 19 years, he begins the double bass and discovers John Coltrane, Miles Davis and, more generally the musics improvised and the jazz music. At 20 years finally, he turns to the Drum "the direction to life, energy, expression, feelings, whether pleasant or unpleasant, and a way to express themselves. " His influences are Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Rashied Ali, Christian Vander, Jack DeJohnette... (He play in his first band as a drummer (whose "Chewbacca" group with Jad Ayache, Stéphane Jaoui and Himiko Paganotti)

In Paris he meets Mederic Collignon, this is the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration still always of current events, first duet with "Kollossal Kolonel" and with the "Jus de Bocse" (Winner of Jazz Victories in 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013) and "Septik" which revisits "Duck, you Suckers" the music of Ennio Morricone.

He meets a whole network of musicians with whom he recorded several albums For the Chief Inspector label. He took part in many ambitious projects "Kolkhöze Printanium", "United Colors of Sodom", "Call the Mexicans !!!" and "Mutatis Mutandis".

With "Dr.Knock" and a duet with Laurent Bardainne he won the first and third group rates Defense jazz Festival in 2001.

Powerful and generous drummer, he shows itself in his own groups which have a strong element of improvisation: "Ank", "GleizKrew", "Mother" etc...

In 2013 released the first disc of "Caillou" Jazz-Rock training and improvised music, conducted by Philippe Gleizes and Rudy Blas. The album was hailed by critics and scheduled group at the Rock In Opposition Festival.
