Mando Diao have always been free spirits. They have always gone their own way, defied authority and enjoyed the hedonistic side of life, elements that have contributed to the band's successful and musically extensive career, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The character Boblikov, the symbol of the new album "Boblikov's Magical World" stands for the personality we all carry within us and who likes to turn things upside down - the little devil on our shoulders. He's not evil, he's just looking for advantages and wants to manipulate things in his favor. As the mastermind behind his company, he is not normally in the limelight. This anonymity gives him a sense of security and respectability, even if he is involved in some shady dealings.

After a long and triumphant Swedish tour following the release of the Gold Record-winning album "I solnedgången", Mando Diao got together in the studio with producer Charlie Storm to record an unpretentious rock album. The songs - full of riffs, dirty guitars, powerful drums and buckets of energy - were released in parts in the form of EPs, and now the first two volumes will be completed with a third EP to form a compilation album. Songs such as "Frustration" and "Fire in the Hall" have enjoyed great success on international and Swedish rock radio, and the band has appeared on the stages of Europe's biggest rock festivals.

"Boblikov's Magical World" invites the listener into a fictional world in which the scheming protagonist rules over a group of agents scattered around the world, agents who receive instructions from Boblikov himself to carry out evil deeds. The overarching theme is reinforced by both the cartoon covers and the visualizers. Mando Diao invite you into this parallel universe.

The statistics are an impressive resume of productivity. Since 2002 Mando Diao has released 7 studio albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide. The album “Infruset” in 2013 was a cultural phenomenon in Sweden, selling 4x platinum, #1 for 17 weeks and the single “Infruset "was on “Svenkstoppen” for 167 weeks with 86 at #1. In their career they have played more than 1500 concerts in more than 30 countries and have headlined major festivals throughout the world. Their videos have gone viral with tens of millions of views on YouTube. They have released both a B-side and Greatest Hits collections and even an MTV Unplugged album. Many of their contemporary bands have come and gone but MANDO DIAO has continued to reach new heights and re-define popular music.

MANDO DIAO is known for its classic rock and roll sound. For them music is a craftwork as they each play several instruments, are producers and songwriters. They started their career drawing heavy influences from rhythm and blues, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Kinks. As they developed they took in more pop and dance themes, but have always maintained the energy and attitude of early rock and roll paired with Björn's unmistakable soulful voice. Constant touring with there energetic performances has established MANDO DIAO as an international headliner.
