Info for This Is Why

Since the band had taken a musical break, there was always speculation about a comeback. Now it's official: The band around front woman Hayley Williams has reunited in the recording studio and the result is a brand new album. It will be titled "This Is Why." In an interview with Rolling Stone, Hayley Williams describes the making of the new record as follows: "We wrote and recorded something that we liked, and it actually surprised us. We kept joking that it was all downhill from there, but thank God we kept getting surprised throughout the whole thing. I'm always waiting for that moment when we know we're onto something new and not just rehashing the same crap. It was 'Ain't It Fun' for our self-titled album and 'Hard Times' or 'Told You So' for "After Laughter." It's not so much that it feels like a hit, but it's a scary, exciting feeling that you're entering uncharted waters. It keeps you curious. We felt that feeling early on this time."

"Paramore have grown up in every sense since the release of their 2005 debut, greatly evolving their emo-pop-punk-alternative rock, and they return from their first band hiatus with sixth album This Is Why and more reflective than ever." (VISIONS)

Paramore

The combination of musical energy between brothers and Hayley's bold charisma earned them instant attention, particularly from Florida indie Fueled by Ramen, who signed the band and put them to work recording their debut. Says Hayley, "Some of our favorite bands are on Fueled by Ramen. We knew that they would know exactly how to carry out the vision for our band and music." Paramore went into the studio with producers James Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Further Seems Forever, Underoath) and Mike Green (Yellowcard, The Black Maria) and blew them away with their sincerity and enthusiasm.
