Timo Kahilainen - familiar to many from Kummeli - releases the debut album of his new band Just in Time.

In addition to Kahilainen, Just in Time will feature Suvi Karjula and Gilbert Kuppusami as soloists. The English-language album is strongly based on old dance music, from a new continent, says Kahilainen with a grin. In addition to soul/funk elements, laid-back yacht rock is strongly present in the songs composed by Kahilainen and co-written with the soloists.

"Suvi Karjula and Gilbert Kuppusami breathed fire into me and inspired me to make this album, and I'd like to thank them for that. I went back to where my musical inspiration began, to the music scene of the late 70s. I think it took me more than a year, but now it's finished, just in time", says Timo Kahilainen.

Currently, long-time fans of the Kummeli group and Finnish music enthusiasts are surely looking forward to what Kahilainen will achieve in his solo career. Having had a long career in TV entertainment, Kahilainen, with his new release, is ready to show that he is, in fact, much more than just one of Finland’s beloved comedians. Without diminishing his skills as a comedian, he is also a talented musician and songwriter, ready to capture the hearts of his audience in a completely new way.
