Info for The Acoustic Collection (Remastered)

Eddie Adock & Talk Of The Town - The Acoustic Collection isn’t just an acoustic album; it’s honky-tonk, pop, bluegrass, gospel, and much more. Eddie’s banjo and guitar skills remain the groups centerpiece, while Martha Adcock and Missy Raines provide the backbone of the music, and weave in seamlessly with their clear and pure vocals. Innovative yet traditional, dazzling yet simple, all these old favorite hits are fond and familiar to every music lover.

When three musicians get together and by themselves produce a double albumful of fine and innovatively varied music-and do it with nothing but a standup bass, acoustic guitars and a five-string banjo and occasional mandolin-the result is something many country music fans want to hear.

This small, but big-sounding, aggregation, made up of Eddie and Martha Adcock and hot bassist Missy Raines, delivers tastefully arranged instrumentation supporting beautiful vocals.

The trio plays the discriminating venues of the bluegrass circuit, but a list of some of the more memorable cuts quickly indicates that their interest and potential appeal is much wider: "Limehouse Blues," "(There`ll Be) Peace in the Valley," "Heartaches," "Mom and Dad`s Waltz," "Meet Mr. Callaghan," "Waiting for the Sunrise," "Go Down Yonder, Moses" and "I`d Rather Die Young (Than Grow Old Without You)."

There`s some breathtaking stuff here.
