Info for Intercourse of Fire and Water

Idlir has worked closely with the living composers on the disc (Tan Dun, Pascal Dusapin) and places these works into a programme that plays with the possibilities of balance and potential across the widest possible array of sound, timbre, and form. Belying any solo cello associations of gentle enchantment, this disc establishes an sustains an emotional frenzy across all four personal, virtuoso works.
