Info for A Mazy Night

In 2017, after many years of musical adventures, Nikk Giggs (vocals/guitar) and Stan Blaineau (bass/backing vocals) decided to return to their first love: the Blues and Rock of the 60s-70s. They soon got in touch with Nicolas Mermoud (drums/backing vocals) and formed MIDNIGHT BURST. Regularly accompanied by harmonica player Vincent Dupuis in concert and in the studio, he became the band's "official guest". The group took advantage of the general halt in concert activity in 2020 to write their first songs. They released two singles in 2021: Didn't Wake Up This Morning and The Maze.

In 2022, life returned to normal, and MIDNIGHT BURST combined an intensive resumption of live performances with the recording of their first album.

At the same time, they took to YouTube, producing around a hundred videos with over 250,000 views, including contributions from Tanguy Kerleroux, Nym Rhosilir, Arthur Dart and others.

While the album was being written, they won the Grosses Guitares and Blues à Jarnioux springboards, and opened for Charlélie Couture, Jessie Lee & The Alchemists, Mister Mat, Riff Wave (Tanguy Kerleroux) and 58 Shots.

Today, after more than 200 concerts, a successful Crowdfunding campaign and the help of their partners (Savarez, Vikory Drumsticks, Heats, Lutherie Letourneau, Afozic booking), the band is preparing the release of its 1st album A Mazy Night with Popa Chubby and Fred Chapellier as guests.

Midnight Burst
began as a duo in 2016 with Nikk Giggs (acoustic guitar) and Stan Blaineau (washboard + mini drums) in an electric-acoustic set covering all the blues and rock classics of the 60s and 70s.

Wishing to offer a more electric version, the duo welcomes Nicolas Mermoud on drums in 2017. Rediscovering the traditional guitar / bass / drums formation, the group intends to pay homage to the Blues and Rock of the 60s and 70s.

And then it was Vincent Dupuis' turn to join them on the harmonica, he became the group's “official guest”.

The trio/quartet punctuates its stage performances with electric and powerful flashes as well as frenzied improvisations.

After more than a hundred concerts, the group is working on its first album whose compositions are coming out little by little.

This album contains no booklet.
