Info for Can You Hear Me?
Zoë's debut album Can You Hear Me?, a deeply personal collection of songs shaped by her love for storytelling and the Great American Songbook. The album centers on intimacy and honesty — small ensembles, simple arrangements, and space for the songs to breathe. Recorded at Studio Mono in Amsterdam and brought to its final shape in New Orleans, the project reflects a chapter of learning, growth, and finding her voice. The album is released in collaboration with Zennez Records, and for this first record, Zoë also took on arranging and producing, working closely with musicians she admires and trusts — Enrico Le Noci on guitar and Joris Teepe on upright bass — who helped bring these songs to life with care and sensitivity. The record was mixed by Brian Seeger, head of the jazz department at the University of New Orleans, where Zoë is currently pursuing her master’s degree in jazz studies.
The first single, “Papa Can You Hear Me?”, originally written by Michel Legrand for the musical Yentl, holds a special place within the album. The song speaks of longing, uncertainty, and the need to be understood — themes Zoë connected to both in her own life and in her artistry. Her interpretation is gentle and open, letting the song unfold naturally without forcing emotion. More than anything, it is offered as an honest moment shared through music.
