Info for Blackbird
The repertoire consists mainly of original pieces written by guitarist and composer Federico Bosio, who on the occasion of this concert at the Casa del Jazz draws both from his first work as leader entitled Double Time (Dodicilune, 2020) and from the very recent solo album entitled Blackbird (Ursa Major, 2022).
The songs are intimate and rarefied, with exotic, jazzy and sometimes classical atmospheres that recall some of the work of the Pat Metheny Group and Oregon, but also articulate and pressing with distorted sounds that betray the guitarist's pop-rock influences.
