Info for Built to Last

After the big success world wide with their last album PARALLEL LOVE the UK-based prog AOR outfit is back with a new album. ALL OR NOTHING is the first single taken from the upcoming album BUILT TO LAST which will be released October 20th.

Keyboard player Thorley founded the band in early 2017 with the intention to create a band that centered its roots around the 80s AOR and Melodic Rock genre whilst delving into other areas of Modern Hard Rock, Metal and Progressive Rock.

ATLAS draw heavily on influences stemming from the AOR classic standards of Toto and Journey to the modern era of Work of Art and W.E.T with subtle progressive elements of Dream Theater mixed in to forge their sound.

We wanted to write a track that had a lot of energy, heavy but still having melodic elements, and with a huge hooky chorus. We wanted to represent elements of the whole album in one song, which was a challenge, but we always love to rise to a challenge!“

The superordinary number arrives widescale & heavyweight with ultracapable drummery and wonderworthy keys. The powerhouse vocals are exciting and absorbing and the chorus is glimmery. Perhaps this is not as punishingly heavy as it could be… but, yeah, we suppose we need a little composed harmony right now in this angry storm-ridden all-or-nothing world… so we get it!

ATLAS
is a Melodic Rock band from the North of England that is comprised of 5 musicians, James Thorley (Keyboards), Howie Little (Lead Guitars), Chris Redfearn (Bass Guitar) Craig Wells (Lead Vocals) and Ryan Briggs (Drums). Keyboard player Thorley founded the band in early 2017 with the intention to create a band that centered its roots around the 80s AOR and Melodic Rock genre whilst delving into other areas of Modern Hard Rock, Metal and Progressive Rock.

They have released two LP studio albums to date, through the European label AOR Heaven, the second album 'Parallel Love' charted in Japan at #36 and debuted in the top 10 Amazon Classic Rock Albums chart on release week.

In 2023 ATLAS announced the third studio album "Built To Last' which is set to be released on the 20th October, with distribution being handled by SPV.

ATLAS have toured the UK sharing the stage with The Quireboys, Eric Martin (Mr Big), FM, Vega, Big Country and Praying Mantis.
