Following the overwhelming success of their 50th anniversary celebration, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT are eagerly preparing for an exciting new chapter in their glorious career with the forthcoming release of "Ghost Stories". This long-awaited album marks a fitting conclusion to the recording legacy of one of rock's most iconic musical attractions of the last 50 years.
In an exciting partnership with Frontiers Music Srl, led by pioneering rock aficionado Serafino Perugino, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT will delight fans with a collection of reinterpreted and completed songs spanning from 1978 to 2016. These musical treasures, long considered "lost gems" by Blue Oyster Cult enthusiasts, will also include the only known recorded performance of their concert classic "Kick out the Jams" (MC5 cover), making this album a true testament to the band's enduring creativity.
The original members of the band appear on "Ghost Stories", creating a musical journey through the decades. Studio work on the album was completed by Richie Castellano along with remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser. As BLUE ÖYSTER CULT embraces their status as a classic rock phenomenon, anticipation for this album is reaching an all-time high.
