"Doce Presença" is the new album from Dutch singer Josee Koning. Produced by the Brazilian composer, pianist, and singer Ivan Lins, it’s an enchanting album of international caliber. As Ivan Lins states: “It’s delicate, intimate, melodic, soft, sweet, peaceful, has great lyrics and a close to the bossanova atmosphere. Our album is delicious!”

Josee Koning has received praise for her velvet timbre, both in The Netherlands and Brazil. As the first singer in this country she devoted herself to Brazilian music, initially with the band Batida and then solo. Her eleventh solo album Doce Presença was produced by the famous Brazilian pianist and singer Ivan Lins, who describes the music as ‘delicate, intimate, melodic and with great lyrics.’

Josee will be accompanied by an international band featuring master guitarist Leonardo Amuedo, who currently lives in the United States. He will bring along his son, the talented drummer Danilo Amuedo. Pianist Hans Vroomans has been accompanying Josee for years and is an absolute specialist in the Brazilian repertoire. Versatile bassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky completes the quartet.

Josee Koning
Dutch singer Josee Koning has an international career in Brazilian jazz, working with Brazilian musicians like Ivan Lins and Dori Caymmi, João Bosco, Nelson Faria and many others. Josee has always had a passion for Brazilian music. She is the co-founder of the legendary Dutch Brazilian fusion group Batida, that recorded three albums, toured internationally and played at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
