Seit nunmehr einem ganzen Jahrzehnt gehört Sam Roman (bekannt als RØMANS) zu den führenden Pop-Songwritern und -Produzenten und kann auf mehrere Hits zurückblicken. Er war Co-Autor von Lewis Capaldis größtem Hit „Someone You Loved“ und landete kürzlich gemeinsam mit dem Country-Pop-Star Shaboozey den Hit „Good News“. Seine Songs wurden außerdem von Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Pink, Demi Lovato, Alicia Keys und John Legend aufgenommen.

RØMANS setzt seine erfolgreiche Karriere als Pop-Hitmacher fort, erkundet nun aber eine völlig neue Welt der Musik. Er ist mittlerweile ein Künstler, der sich in die klassische Musik vorwagt. Er hat einen Plattenvertrag bei 10K Projects/Atlantic Records unterzeichnet und wird am 28. August sein Klassikalbum „Opus 1“ veröffentlichen.

Mit seinem Album „Opus 1“ interpretiert RØMANS Orchestermusik für ein modernes Publikum neu. Aufgewachsen mit einer breiten Palette von Musik, die von den Beatles und Donny Hathaway bis hin zur klassischen Musik der Romantik reichte, verbindet er die emotionale Unmittelbarkeit und Struktur des zeitgenössischen Songwritings mit der Größe und Tiefe filmischer Orchestrierung. Er hat bereits drei Instrumentalstücke aus seinem neuen Album veröffentlicht: „Singularity“, „Ballon“ und „Continuum“.

RØMANS wuchs in Pinner, Middlesex, in England auf und lernte schon in jungen Jahren mehrere Instrumente zu spielen. Mit 16 Jahren unterzeichnete er einen Künstlerentwicklungsvertrag bei einem Label. Einige Jahre später unterschrieb er bei Roc Nation und begann, mit Top-Künstlern und Songwritern zusammenzuarbeiten. Bald darauf feierte er Chart-Erfolge mit Demi Lovato („Sober“), Jonas Blue („Mama“, „Rise“, „Polaroid“), Clean Bandit („Tears“) und Elley Duhe („Middle of the Night“).

RØMANS arbeitete außerdem mit Ed Sheeran an dem Song „The Joker and the Queen“ zusammen, der auf Sheerans fünftem Album erschien. Bemerkenswert ist, dass Taylor Swift in einer Duett-Version des Songs mitwirkte.

RØMANS a.k.a. Sam Roman
is, undoubtedly, one of the coolest musicians on the scene. Better known by his stage name, RØMANS, he has penned songs for some of the biggest artists in the world, including Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Disclosure, and has been signed to Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation, since 2014.

Flash forward to 2017, and RØMANS is showing us what he’s made of. One of his latest tracks, “Love Is The Beast”, was originally written for Kanye’s The Life of Pablo, however, when it didn’t feature, RØMANS decided to release it himself alongside UK rapper Avelino, and turn it into an absolute smash. Continuing this theme, RØMANS has just released his newest track “Happy Love”, and it’s a banger. Mixing R&B and pop, the track is a groovy and soulful sensation, showcasing his stunning vocal range and masterful production techniques.

Sam began his career in his early 20s, but he had his big breakthrough around 2014, when he was featured on the single “Home” by Naughty Boy. He soon became an in-demand songwriter and he wrote songs like “My Loving” and “Long Hard Look” and “Doubt” for Mary J. Blige. His credits as a songwriter include hit singles by the likes of Alicia Keys, Elton John, Demi Lovato, Rita Ora and many more. His debut EP, “Overthinking Pt. 1”, was released in 2015, followed a few months later by “Act 1”. He then released two EPs, one in 2016 called “Silence” and “Automatic” in 2017. A year later, he released the project “PEOPLE” which is a conceptual album featuring collaborations with artists like Kayo Genesis.
