Vor wenigen Tagen versprach Sabrina Claudio uns mit ihrem gleichnamigen Song einen "Warm December", nun sorgt sie höchstpersönlich dafür, dass sich unsere Körpertemperatur um einige Grad erhöht – mit der Veröffentlichung eines ganzen Weihnachtsalbums. "Christmas Blues" hat insgesamt acht Songs zu bieten, darunter Cover von drei Weihnachts-Klassikern ("The Christmas Song", "O Holy Night" und "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas") und fünf neue Songs, darunter eine Kollaboration mit zwei der größten Namen im Geschäft und zugleich zwei von Sabrinas größten Helden: The Weeknd und Alicia Keys, "Christmas Blues" und "Winter Time". Unten gibt es Lyric Videos zu den beiden Songs zu sehen, außerdem das offizielle Musikvideo zu "Warm December".
"I used to be in choir when I was in high school. And for Christmas, we would always do Christmas competitions or charity events. And it was my favorite time of year for the choir, and ‘O Holy Night’ was always the one song that we sang and I always got so emotional singing it. I’m not even sure why, it’s just parts of the melody. Like, you know, when it hits you, it hits you", berichtet die 24-Jährige über ihre persönliche Verbindung zur Weihnachtszeit.
Die Songs auf "Christmas Blues" sind dabei von der sinnlichen, stets leicht bluesig-jazzigen Atmosphäre geprägt, die man von der Musik der US-Sängerin mit puerto-ricanischen und kubanischen Wurzeln kennt, die 2019 ihr zweites Album "Truth Is" veröffentlichte. "I didn’t want to do anything that was too joyous, or, you know, happy", so Claudio. "I’m not the happiest when it comes to my music. So those [covers] just fit perfectly. And I’m actually so proud that we did those because I think they sound great."

at 16, Miami native Sabrina Claudio was discovered through her popular YouTube covers. Tackling difficult arrangements and vocal ranges like Beyonce's Halo, she caught the attention of industry music insiders.
Fast-tracked to music studios where Sabrina connected with Grammy-nominated songwriter T-Wiz who has written for Ciara and Chris Brown to name a few and music producer Wayne Wilkins who produced Beyonce, Leona Lewis, Pitbull, Jordin Sparks and Keri Hilson amongst others.
Currently Sabrina is signed to producer and songwriter, Red One, who has worked with many other high profile recording artists, including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Marc Anthony, One Direction, Enrique Iglesias, Cher, MIKA, Darin, Nicki Minaj, Backstreet Boys and Paulina RubioRed One whose production include Pitbull. Sabrina's first single comes out in late 2013.
