Houston-born and Los Angeles-based rock artist DE’WAYNE has announced his third studio album, june set to be released July 30th. Along with the news, the title track “june” was released and it’s available to stream now. While accessing the duality of humanity and harnessing the divine femininity through music DE’WAYNE is back with no shortage of soul, sex, sweat, and style. June – both the song and the character – is the heartbeat of this album.

“I wrote June because I had to—it poured out of me. I was heavily inspired by Talking Heads and Prince, but I wanted this to reach everybody; young or old, whatever your background, we all know what it’s like to fall for someone who flips your world upside down. An artist who has taken risks his whole life is now putting that exact energy into the music he creates. DE’WAYNE is an alternative rock singer from Houston, Texas who is redefining music today by showcasing a raw and tasteful blend of genres. The music combines elements of rock, punk, and pop with a mission to show people we shouldn’t live in boxes, and neither should our music.

Even growing up in Spring, Texas on a diet of local hip-hop and singing in church with his family DE’WAYNE knew “if I got the chance, I could do something great.” Determined to make it happen, he moved to L.A. at aged 19, worked two jobs to pay rent and “really went to the school of being dirt poor, learning how to write songs and where you want to put your voice in the world.” Five years in the making, debut album ‘STAINS’ (out June 18th on Hopeless Records) sees the alt-pop superstar moving effortlessly through an eclectic range of styles, scenes and genres.
