Info for California Sunrise (10th Anniversary Edition)
Jon Pardi is celebrating 10 years since his breakthrough album California Sunrise with the release of the California Sunrise (10th Anniversary Edition).
The triple Platinum, chart-topping album revived honky-tonk swagger and launched Pardi as one of the format’s most distinct voices. Alongside the album’s original 12 songs, the celebratory edition includes three new tracks from the vault: “Drinkin’ and Dancin’,” “If I Had Another Heart,” and “How Did You Know.”
California Sunrise spawned five Platinum-or-better singles, including the 7x-Platinum “Head Over Boots” and 6x-Platinum “Dirt On My Boots.”
“Ten years ago I made a record that would unknowingly change my life,” says Pardi. “Since then, it’s been one hell of a ride—my family has grown, I’ve seen the world, and I’m out here living my dream. It’s pretty damn cool to see how much people continue to embrace this project even all these years later. Thankful for the last ten and looking forward to the next.”
California Sunrise is the second studio album by American country music singer Jon Pardi. It was released on June 17, 2016, through Capitol Nashville. Following the success of his debut studio album, Write You a Song (2014), Pardi reteamed with co-producer Bart Butler to work on new material for his next country album, wanting to incorporate more traditional aspects of the genre while adhering to the modern country music template. The album received positive reviews from music critics, who often praised the production and lyrical content.
The accompanying singles "Head Over Boots", "Dirt on My Boots", "Heartache on the Dance Floor", "She Ain't in It", and "Night Shift" were released. California Sunrise debuted at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 and number one on the Top Country Albums chart, giving Pardi his only chart-topping album to date. It was certified platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). To promote the album, Pardi performed on talk shows, headlined his own concerts and opened for other country artists on their respective tours.

Jon Pardi
Hailing from a small town in Northern California, Pardi’s first taste of country music stardom started in his Grandmother’s house, where he sang to her with the radio and on karaoke tapes at the tender age of 3. The singer-songwriter spent his youth perfecting his craft – by 8 years old, he was playing the guitar and at 12, he was writing his own songs. Pardi had his first band at age 14, performing a mixture of classic rock and country, all the while polishing his live performance skills. Determined to make his dream of country music fame a reality, Pardi moved to Nashville at 22 years old, where his unique musical style gained the attention of Song Factory which led to a publishing contract, and later a record deal.
Last year, Pardi signed with the legendary EMI, home to recording artists as varied and successful as Frank Sinatra, Garth Brooks, and Keith Urban. Pardi has shared the stage with Pat Green, Dierks Bentley and has opened for Luke Bryan’s “Spring Break” tour and Eric Church "Blood, Sweat and Beers" tour. He has just finished the final touches on his debut album. Pardi's first single will be hitting radio stations nationwide this Spring.
