Info for Saunders: Orchestral Music
Following a suggestion from Philip Lane, the doyen of British Light Music, these recordings of Adam Saunders' orchestral works came into being. Adam has enjoyed a varied career as performer, educator, composer of library and production music but it is his compositions for the concert platform that are showcased here. Over the years, his compositions have been performed and broadcast around the world by orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Hallé, English Chamber Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, London Mozart Players, City of Prague Philharmonic, RTE Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Ulster Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, amongst others. In 2000, Adam had the honour of being appointed an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Pete Harrison, conductor
Pete Harrison
is a busy freelance conductor and presenter. He is a regular guest conductor with many orchestras including Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Ulster Orchestra, The Philharmonia, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra (Novaya Rossiya) and for Raymond Gubbay Ltd with the London Concert Orchestra, the Manchester Concert Orchestra & the Scottish Concert Orchestra.
He has recently been appointed as the Musical Director of the Klassik Radio Pops Orchestra for their annual tour throughout Germany and Austria for the German based classical radio station, Klassik Radio.
Pete studied at the Royal College of Music going on to be a busy freelance player, including work in the West End where he started his conducting career.
Pete is the Musical Director for the BSO Voices Choir in Southampton partnered with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra who give 3 main concerts a year, all sung from memory. He is also the Musical Director of the Brent Youth Concert Pops Orchestra in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Studio work includes regular sessions for film, television and library sessions including visits to Prague to work with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra at Smecky Music Studios.
Education work includes the National Schools Symphony Orchestra (conducting their top Philharmonic Orchestra), the Orchestra and Wind Ensemble at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset, the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales and various guest sessions with schools and orchestras throughout the UK, including Kent Youth Orchestra, Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra and the West of England Youth Symphony Orchestra.
