Info for Préludes & Rhapsodies

It has been six years since the release of the last Buzz recording, a brass-organ rendition of an iconic work of the symphonic repertoire: Gustav Holst’s The Planets, an ADISQ award nominee. “Preludes & Rhapsodies” presents classic works by Liszt, Gershwin, Debussy, and others in a new light thanks to custom arrangements by Montrealers Louis Babin and Christopher Smith as well as by American Ralph Sauer. The five-man brass ensemble collaborates with some of the finest musicians Canada has to offer; here those musicians are harpist Valérie Milot and the American-born pianist Matt Herskowitz.
