Recognised as a truly exciting and versatile violinist, Leticia Moreno “captivates audiences and critics alike with her natural charisma, virtuosism and deep interpretative force” and in 2012 was named as an Echo Rising Star.

Leticia has worked with leading conductors including Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Josep Pons and Juanjo Mena among others. With an international profile, Leticia has performed with orchestras such us Wiener Symphoniker and St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Washington National and Mariinsky orchestras, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and is a regular guest with most of the major Spanish orchestras.

Leticia started her 2015/16 season with a tour of China with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen. The season also features a recital tour of Japan, her debut with the Hallé under Sir Mark Elder and concerts with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Qatar Philharmonic and Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg. In South America she will perform with Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Perú, Filarmónica de Jalisco, Sinfónica de Yucatán and OFUNAM in Mexico, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia and Orquesta del Teatro Municipal in São Paulo.

Further ahead, Leticia will play the season’s closing concert at St.Petersburg with St.Petersburg Philharmonic and Yuri Temirkanov, and work with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra (again with Temirkanov), Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Hallé with Sir Mark Elder, Weimar Staatskapelle with Krzysztof Penderecki and Gulbenkian Orchestra.

A keen recitalist and chamber musician, Leticia has collaborated with Sol Gabetta, Bertrand Chamayou, Kirill Gerstein, Alexander Ghindin, Lauma Skride, Mario Brunello, Leonard Elschenbroich and Maxim Rysanov.

Leticia has recently recorded two CDs with Deutsche Grammophon: Spanish Landscapes - a study of Spanish Music (Sarasate, Lorca, Granados and Falla) and Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 with St Petersburg Philharmonic conducted by Yuri Temirkanov.

Leticia studied with Zakar Bron at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid and Musikhochschule of Cologne, and became the youngest member of the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. She has won international violin competitions such as Szeryng, Concertino Praga, Novosibirsk, Sarasate and Kreisler.
