Info for Schubert: Die Nacht
Die Cellistin Anja Lechner und der argentinische Gitarrist Pablo Márquez begegneten sich erstmals 2003.
In gemeinsamen Konzerten haben sie seitdem das vielfältigste Repertoire und zahlreiche Ausdrucksarten erkundet. Ihr erstes Duo-Album bezieht sich konzeptuell auf die Tradition von Liedern mit Gitarren-Begleitung, wie sie im Wien des 19. Jahrhunderts weit verbreitet war. Lechner und Márquez spielen einige von Schuberts populärsten Liedern (einschließlich „Die Nacht”, „Nacht und Träume” und „Der Leiermann”), die das Kernstück des Albums elegant umrahmen: Schuberts ausgreifende Arpeggione Sonate. Viele von Schuberts Liedern wurden zu seinen Lebzeiten in alternativen Arrangements für Gitarre veröffentlicht; in einigen Fällen erschien die Gitarrenversion sogar vor derjenigen mit Klavier. Eingestreut, als Echo und Kommentar zu Schuberts Geist und Klangsprache, sind hier auch die anmutigen „Trois Nocturnes” zu hören, ursprünglich für Cello und Gitarre komponiert von Friedrich Burgmüller (1806-1874). Die Nacht erscheint zu Beginn einer Europatournee, mit Konzerten in Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, Ungarn und Rumänien.
